Note: the following file paths use a hypothetical user named Susan. You should change that to your computer username.
In Windows XP, your preferences file is located inside this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Susan\Application Data\InqScribe\
- If the Application Data folder is not visible in your user folder, you will have to change your Windows Folder Options (Control Panel > Folder Options) to “Show Hidden Files and Folders.”
- Make sure InqScribe is not running when you delete this file.
- Deleting the InqScribe Preferences file will erase any shortcuts you have already created, so if you are able to see them now you may want to take note of them before deleting the preferences file.
In Windows Vista & later, your preferences file is located inside this directory:
Note that the AppData folder is normally a hidden folder. Make sure you’ve told Windows to show hidden files and folders, or you may not see AppData.
In Mac OSX, your preferences file is located in this folder:
If you don't see the "Library" folder, go to the Finder, hold down the Option key, and select the "Go" menu. You should see "Library" listed as one of the options.
