Until recently, InqScribe has always been able to play any media file that is supported by any version of QuickTime or Windows Media Player. Recently that has changed.
InqScribe can still play anything supported by QuickTime 7 or Windows Media Player 11. However, there are some media formats supported by QuickTime X and Windows Media Player 12 that InqScribe will not play. We are working to address it.
In short, InqScribe uses older versions of the QuickTime and Windows Media Player APIs. We are currently revising InqScribe's media support to take advantage of the additional media format support provided in more recent versions of QuickTime and WMP.
Please stay tuned to our future releases for this update.
