Yes! Although the InqScribe desktop app cannot export to an Avid-compatible format, you can turn your transcript into an Avid DS file using our new InqScribe Labs conversion site.

Here's how:

  1. Prepare your InqScribe transcript and save it to the default ".inqscr" file format.
  2. Go to
  3. Click the "Choose file" button and select your transcript
  4. Once its loaded, select "Convert + Download" and your Avid DS file will begin downloading.

Note that InqScribe Labs is still a work in progress. If the conversion didn't work, or if it worked great, we welcome your feedback. Send us an email at
