This article is specific to the InqScribe 2.5 beta for macOS. If you're not running this version of InqScribe, please disregard.

We've recently identified a bug where, once a transcript gets to have a lot of timecodes (say, a few hundred), there will be significant slowdown. It doesn't seem to be tied to the amount of text-- just timecodes.

We're currently investigating this issue and expect to resolve it soon in an update. In the meantime, what you can do to prevent the slowdown is to turn off "Color Timecodes" in the "InqScribe > Preferences" menu. Once this option is disabled, the slowdown should go away.

We appreciate your patience in using the InqScribe 2.5 beta. If you have questions, concerns, or if turning off Color Timecodes isn't fixing the problem, please contact us at inqscribe.com/support.
